I wrote this when I heard about the cyclist who killed a pedestrian and then adamantly refused any responsibility even though he didn’t have proper breaks. It got me thinking about how the times that I might have denied that I was wrong about something. Not only that, but also feeling a boiling sense of “I am right and I won’t back down!” Later, after some self-reflection, I often realise that my perspective was skewed and that there are other angles to consider.
